We set up a new application from scratch, using an Elasticsearch cluster as the main database, that stores every time-based status snapshot of an item as an inspection in an event sourcing mechanism. To prevent even us from tampering with the safety history of items, we implemented a cascaded hash chain over these inspections. The authorization model is based on proven education of the safety inspectors.
